Electricity bill
Useful information about the electricity bill.
Your electricity bill consists of electricity, grid rent, and taxes.
If we have a billing agreement with your grid owner, you will receive both electricity and grid rent on the same invoice.
Electricity
- Paid to the electricity supplier, and is payment for the electricity you have used.
- The invoice states which electricity agreement you have, how much electricity you have used in a given period, and the price per kilowatt-hour.
- If you have a spot price contract, it is the average price of all the hourly rates for the month that is displayed.
- The surcharge is specified on a separate invoice line, and includes government-mandated electricity certificates.
- If your electricity agreement includes a fixed amount, it will also be listed on a separate invoice line.
Grid rental
- Goes to the grid owner in the area you live, and it's what you pay to have the electricity transferred to your home.
- The grid rental covers the operation, maintenance, and expansion of the electricity network.
- Consists of two parts; a fixed component and an energy component, in addition to public charges such as the Enova-fee and consumption tax (electricity tax).
- Possible electricity subsidies are deducted from the grid rent.
