Simple installation
For most of us, it doesn't exactly come naturally to plug something into the fuse box, but you can easily connect the pulse meter yourself. You don't need an electrician.The only thing you need to do is ask your grid owner to open the HAN port on your electricity meter. Once it's open, you can connect the pulse meter by plugging the cable into the electricity meter.
Get alerts for abnormally high electricity consumption
With Puls, you can set up alerts in the app if your consumption exceeds a set limit. You can set the consumption limit based on your grid owner's fixed charge or a custom value.
The consumption alert only works on mobile devices.
You have the option to choose between two different notification profiles.
The first profile is tailored for those who have good control over their electricity consumption and the ability to easily adjust their usage to stay below the limit. The second profile is best suited for those who do not have these opportunities and need a bit more assistance.
The consumption alert makes it easier to stay within a certain tier of the grid owner's fixed charges and thus reduce unnecessary costs.
Be an electricity detective: Find out what consumes the most
Open the app and follow along to see how consumption changes when you:
- Unplugging sockets/turning off electrical devices.
- Turn off one fuse at a time in your fuse box. You will then see how it affects your actual consumption, and which circuits draw a lot of power.
Once you have identified what uses the most electricity, you assess whether it is possible to adjust any of the biggest 'electricity thieves'. Heating is a typical example. Is it possible to lower the temperature by a degree or two on underfloor heating, without compromising comfort?
With an overview of how different devices in your home affect electricity consumption, you can more easily adapt and optimize usage, while maintaining comfort!

Use of Puls requires an active electricity customer relationship with Gudbrandsdal Energi for the meter to which Puls is connected. Puls can be used with all electricity agreements offered to private customers.
The pulse meter we offer is developed by the Norwegian company NxtEnergy. Inside the box, there's a SIM card that transmits data via the mobile network (4G or 5G). That's why you pay a fixed monthly fee. It also means that you are not dependent on wi-fi to make the pulse meter work.
You can easily order Puls by logging into My Page/app and clicking on "Add" on the home screen. When ordering, you choose whether you want to purchase or rent.
